A question about unlocking and phone info (not the contact) backup

Hi my friends, here's a question for you about the upgrade to HTC6800 which has its phone number written inside:

The ROM version of my HTC6800 is V2.18 and the RADIO version is V1.67, which are quite outdated. I wanna upgrade it to a higher version with GPS enabled, but it seems I have to unlock the phone before the upgrade.

The question is how to backup the phone nubmer (not the contact information) which is written in the mobile phone because the phone number will be lost after I run the TITANUNLOCKER program.

Hope you may help in this. Thx.

Not sure if I understand what your asking, you want to backup the phone for the device? the device number is not erased when it is unlocked

Here is the post that describes unlocking, because of your radio version you will need to find an un-locker compatible for NON GPS, I can't remember the un-locker right now

Agreed, the programming number isnt lost. And I think he is talking about the info in EPST??? Where else would you see a number at? And if thats the case then dont worry about it as that info will not be touched. If you are talking about something else then please explain a bit better and more in detail so we can understand better.

Re: A question about unlocking and phone info (not the contact) backup

Thanks to meanfishy and weedahoe.

You are right, I do mean the programming number information in EPST. Last time I tried to unlock and upgrade the ROM and RADIO version with TitanUnlocker and Sprint ROM but at last incoming and outcoming calls turned unavailable after the upgrade. I sent the phone to the Operator Iusacell and the customer service center said the number information written to the phone was destroyed that led to call failures.

I read some threads and found that the upgrade of PRI would make such number info lost, wasn't it? If so, how should I do to upgrade

I summarized the upgrade procedures and hope you may point out any errors if any:
1. Use TitanUnlocker to unlock the HTC6800
2. Upgrade the SPL to 2.40 automatically (This step may make the phone info lost?)
3. Use GetSPC to read the SPC code
4. Use QPST to read the phone configuration info for backup
5. Upgrade with a desired GPS-enabled ROM

However, I don't know how to upgrade the RADIO version to 3.35 or higher. Plz tell me how.

Many thanks!

Since I bought "Apolsoft Android SMS Transfer" and use it, no matter how many text messages I have, It can provide me a fast speed for backup. More importantly, It has its own desktop management tools, the ability to import text messages to the desktop management tools to edit, delete, print and other operations, Many free software can not do it and the software is very easy to use. So, I am very optimistic about this software, I hope my review could bring some benefits for you. This is not what the ad! !
