They did the same thing when 700wx was to come out, at this point they 6800 will be out, when it's out. If it doesn't come out on May 14 then keep your hopes up for end June/earyl July, if it doesn't come out then, then we are all probably screwed and will get an outdated device by Sept/Oct... which is very likely since they may have learned this tactic from Nextel.

I was with Nextel and so exited a WM phone was coming out, when the i930 came out last year or so, it came out with WM2003.

Don't believe anyone you call in telesales or stores, why? Because they may be looking at outdated material or simply telling you what they heard as a rumor.

When the 700wx came out I even got a rep tell me it didn't exist, that the only Treo had the Palm OS and there was no other.

I just got a call from Sprint.com bussiness account department today, they said it is going to be released on 5.14.

i also have received those kind of calls. but i got it about the upstage after it came out. buying that phone was a huge mistake. *anyways* what is wrong with sprint in the delay?! i mean i'm pretty sure 6800s would be on back order for weeks if it was to be released 5/14 or so. just sell the freaken device and work on releasing the updates, perfect them and release later. if it doesn't come out on monday i am strongly going to consider going after the dash that has wm6 or the 8525 that im pretty sure it will get a wimo 6 upgrade...

i think it would be better coming out now, atleast this way people will have the option to upgrade. if they dont want wm6 then they dont need to get it. i kinda dont want it just cause of i dont know what wm5 software i can use on it.

WM6 is a fancied up WM5, so in theory, everything that works on WM5 will work on WM6.

True dat! I bought Vista (1/2 off at CompUSA) for the wife and I have never seen so many blue screens of death with my XP machine as I have seen with Vista trying to install apparently incompatible software!

Have you tried the Program Compatibility Wizard? This has fixed alot of those problems with programs for me.
