Trying to learn how to Flash my HTC Titan(alltel) to work on Metro PCS.
Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum but have found tons of previous information through this site. Basically I have a Titan from alltel and im trying to convert it to MetroPcs.. I went to the local Metro retailer and they said they didnt think it was possible. And when i try to google for info i always come up with info on flashing the sprint or vzw, and no Alltel. I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction or maybe I can get lucky and have someone walk me through it. I'm not looking to clone a metro ESN I would just like to have everything set up perfectly so that I can go to Metro and have them set me up. Any info is greatly apreciated :) thank you! |

alright, so i've downloaded all the files from bossman... here's my problem.. theres no instructions on what to do with them. I just have 8 unzipped folders, an HTC Titan, and a USB cable to connect it.... lol.
So, i think i might just PM bossman and see if i can get some help from him. if anyone knows what to do with these programs in order to flash my phone to work with MetroPCS, please post up any info you may have. thank you. |

What kind of files are they? |
Re: Trying to learn how to Flash my HTC Titan(alltel) to work on Metro PCS.
Well, I had a major disagreement with Alltel over my plan and the fact that im paying $200+/month+contract isnt helping, and now they're telling me that they cant cover a replacement of my wife's motorola Q that simply wont charge even though its been checked and never fixed twice by them. We've been paying for the insurance for over a year now and they still deny her. I feel more like im dealing with a health insurance company than a cell phone insurance company.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35825&page=3 ^ this is where bossman attached a bunch of files that i believe he used to convert a Titan. but there are no directions on what to do with the different programs and files. |
Re: Trying to learn how to Flash my HTC Titan(alltel) to work on Metro PCS.
basically the salesman at my local Metro store said that if i can find a way to get everything in order for him to just connect me to the network he would have no problem doing so.. he would've probably set me up if his boss wasnt looking over his shoulder the whole time talking about how "We could use the software on the phone and it may never turn on again" and "if you do this you wont have any internet and no MMS"
so i just told em i'd find another way to do it.. |
