I have the MOGUL w/sprint started to load the 6.1 update from HTC, then I got to 11% its says error bad connection. Sprint says my software is fried. There has to be something to fix it right!!! I tried to run EXT boot mod didn't work. Someone please help I need this phone.

Do you have a SD card <=2GB?

He is asking due to the fact you can try to flash from your SD card..

I have a 2gb SD card my phone is stuck it the boot mode screen. Sprint will exchange it out for $55. Prob. so they can fix it after i get a new phone..........!$#%

To enable the GPS, just download GPSToggle. It's small and works extremely well.

you need to flash an older official sprint WM 6.0 over usb. then flash the 6.1 using SD Card.

your phone is not permanently destroyed. this is happening to alot of people. this process will work.


just saw.... are u trying to put the alltel rom on ur sprint phone?

just a few questions...

ok are there any significant differences from the last update that alltel came out with? like is the radio better and what not? and what all is in this rom? and does alltel nav cost money?

radio is updated. 3.42.50.
gps is enabled, not agps(u still need to do my fix)
threaded sms
video driver improvements, not sure exatly but some video test programs run faster
some other stuff.
alltel nav costs $9.99/month.
rom seems to be very stable, pretty quick too.
my phone is unlocked but i just like official roms so i run this.
i only let the wmp.cab and signed_808080_somthin.cab run from the ext_rom.

so far im sticking with this rom.

Has anyone found the Opera browser that Alltel lists in the update info?

From Alltel for the 6800: "This ROM includes updates to the operating system to Windows Mobile 6.1, GPS capabilities, and a new Opera browser. All previous updates and fixes such as EVDO Rev A capabilities are included."

Other that that, It works great for me, especially with Shadow-tech's GPS speedup.
