 uscc mogul upgrade question ok long story short, i had a mogul btw us cellular is my carrier, i hacked the phone and put on the sprint rom so i could have gps, the phone broke, signal denied my insurance claim because of hte way it happened, i took the phone in to us cellular and rep there gave me the number to a us cellular blackberry support basically they agreed to send me another phone (of course i have to pay a 85-125 fee for the switch) and i have the send the broken phone back to them, but rembmer i hacked into the phone so it doesn't have the us cellular rom anymore.. they  said they would use it for parts if it was possible.. so will they eventually detect that i messed with the phone and somehow charge me full price later on? |

 Re: uscc mogul upgrade question i did, i tried to make it  a short story, when i filed the claim they asked me if i dropped the phone and i told them no, so they told me since i didn't do anything to physically break the phone they couldn't approve it.. its a long story i hate talkin about it! |

IN HALF! so there is no chance of that happening, blackberry customer service has already agreed to replace it so i don't have a choice but to see what happens, i was just hoping somebody could offer advice or they have been thru it already |

Denial of claims is The Signals discression, some of the reasons are: -Lying that is caught either by USCC rep or the Signal Associate -Negligent damage (i.e. if you throw your phone in anger) -Bodily secretion (if you cry, sweat, pee, or puke on your phone, it is deemed negligent by The Signal and not allowed to be claimed) -Physical damage without explaination. If you break it by accident you must know the accident. There's more, some of the fine print even talks about denying claims in the event of civil war I believe. One last note, there is NO limit on insurance claims. If you file validly and pay the $50 claim for moisture or physical damage you can claim as many as you'd like. The catch is you have to keep with the $5.95 a month, pay the $50 on each phone, and eventually they will look deeper into your claims. They may even start requiring to have the phone in hand for inspection before they approve the claim. |
