Hard Reset

I want to do a hard reset on my mogul but I cant seem to find the thread that had the walk through on how to remove the sprint programs and avoid the auto customizations. If anybody could help that would be great. Thanx to all.

to avoid the auto customizations just soft reset before they run. or soft reset when you get to the screen that say "tap to set up your windows mobile device" Why are you hard resetting?

I just got the phone and learned about all the stuff I can do. So I want to start over fresh and get rid of some of the sprint programs that are on here.

Re: Hard Reset

BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFORE PROCEEDING!

Hold the two action buttons and press and hold the reset button on the bottom until you see the "Do you want to erase all data" warning.
Press R for yes on the keyboard.
When it comes back up do the basic setup of the Mogul.
At the end of the basic setup shortly after you see the today screen you will see a dialog that says something like installing customizations... Press reset before it starts installing.
Sync back your data and load your programs and you are good to go.

If you want to load something like the Sprint TV you will need to install a program like Total Commander and open the hidden folder Extended_ROM by typing it in by hand. In that you will find the CAB files for the software you may want.

did you use total commander to reload some basic programs like the IOTA_cab? Do you have a list of the programs that should be installed and the ones that are "your choice"??
I did this before on my 6700, and there was a post that listed the cabs that you must keep,...i would appreciate if you could let me know, thanks
