Sprint to Verizon?
 

My friend's trying to sell me his sprint mogul and I'm on verizon. Does everything work when flashed over? I don't want to have to deal with issues if I buy it. I have the apache right now with the 6.1 kitchen. It's been messing up on my recently (hardware, not software) so I was looking to buy the mogul anyway. Any help?

verizon says they will transfer any CDMA phone but i have just found out thats not 100% true. i sent them an alltel 6800 that they said they couldnt activate because "its not on our list." so im gonna try one more thing then give up and sell it as an alltel phone and buy a xv6800 and just mod it.

yeah, thats for the 6700 but thats gonna be my last thing to try. if that doesnt work im gonna just give up and sell the thing and buy the actual verizon phone.

I'm not sure how different Verizon is from Alltel when it comes to activating a phone from a different carrier but, this is what I just did.

I moved into a non Sprint area so I was able to cancel my Sprint contract. But, I had a brand new HTC Touch. So I then researched on how to unlock and reprogram the phone to use on another carrier. After I was able to retrieve the MSL number it was a cake walk:) Anyway, once my phone was unlocked I went to Alltel and signed up for a new contract with a free phone. I then called tech support and said I just got a new phone off ebay and I wanted to activate it. The girl asked if it was an Alltel phone and of coarse I said yes:) (I did have an official Alltel rom and prl on it though). She then told me we were going to program the phone manually. When we were done I had my Sprint Touch on Alltel with everything working flawlessly:)

verizon isnt that nice im ashamed to say. should have my 6800 back today or tomorrow so i will let you know what happens after its programmed with a standard vzn rom.

If any of you guys need a Verizon XV6800, give me a shout. I have two extra 6800 phones sitting here I don't need & will sell at least one of them cheap. They both look new & have clean Verizon ESN's. I was using them for testing programs/ROMS etc.

One is all stock Verizon radio & ROM, the other has WM 6.1 & working GPS etc. That one also has Touchflo installed from a cooked ROM & it works perfectly (youtube works fine etc etc)

how much are you selling them for? I put in the form for to switch over the phone I have now but if it doesn't work I'll be buying a new one.
