Mogul scroll wheel adjusting the volume only?

Idk why, but the last few days, anytime I use the scroll wheel all it does is raise or lower the volume. >.< Its minor, but annoying as hell. I try scrolling through texts and it just changes the volume. Anyone know how to change it back(preferably without soft reseting) or even what causes this, so I can avoid it lol

Maybe Im behind on something but I thought ppl were TRYING to get the scroll wheel to change the volume and NOT use it to select things on the screen..........

Yeah, I can't get the scroll wheel to change the volume unless I'm in a call.

i prefer it the way it is now, change items on screen unless its in a call where it changes volume instead. the only times i listen to music i use the crappy HTC headphones that have that built in volume slider, so changing volume on my phone is pointless. having it scroll through items on screen makes browsing websites and emails soooo much easier.

Ok, so sice we turned into a poll.........LOL

I vote volume. but mine does change items on the screen and can select them of course. All I can tell you is maybe it is something in the ROM you are using.

So tell us whose ROM you are using or where you got it from. I cooked mine with the 20273 Kitchen so maybe that will help you.

i'm waiting to get headphones so now i listen to music with speaker and would like to raise volume without tapping small icon on screen :-P

There is not a way to change volume by use of the scoll wheel without using the screen first.

Not at all. It takes forever on a large page. I use TouchFlo. I did use SPB Pocket Plus smart scrolling too. SkyFire has it built in. The track wheel is not good enough for web browsing for me. The only time I use it is if I am eating something greasy, (like Taco Bell), and don't wanna touch the screen.
