MetroPCS GPS Settings, Copied from an original MetroPCS Handset
1 Attachment(s)
Metropcs people, This I got from entering in the programming menu on my old Motorola SLVR.
GPS Mode: User Plane - TCP /IP ( I wonder, would this be equal to GPS mode 2 or 4 ? ) Server IP: 198.17.1.0 Server Port: 3425 Assited Mode: ON ( what would that be? ) Stand Alone Mode: ON - By the way, for those who wants to go inside your old Metro handset to see NAM / SID / DATA / VOICE CODECS / WAP and other settings to change it in your brand new flashed mogul using QPST: Motorola devices: Dial #073887* at the home screen Nokia devices: Dial *3001#12345# When prompted to enter Subsdy Code, Use the attached Calculator to find yours. Enter your DEC ESN and it will tell you what you 6 digit code is. |
Re: MetroPCS GPS Settings, Copied from an original MetroPCS Handset
i want to add this to my agps fix post but it doesnt look right. user plane bassically means it goes through an IP solution rather then a text-like solution. u can get a text message even if u dont have a data plan. so user plane is IP. but the IP adress looks wrong. and the port looks off. port are usually 8888, 8889, but not always (see sprint)
have u tried this out? if u can find someone to try this out and it works i would be very thankful. GPS Mode: User Plane - TCP /IP <-this means it needs a data connection Server IP: 198.17.1.0 Server Port: 3425 Assited Mode: ON <-this means it will get satellite data from the PDE server. Stand Alone Mode: ON <-means the gps chip will ALSO work if there is n cell signal |
