NEED MAJOR HELP mogul wont connect to internet
 

Ok i have an HTC mogul that i got flashed to metro, when the person flashed it for me he promised the internet would work, which it did. well i decided that i wanted to be able to watch youtube videos. i downloaded tcpmp and now when i try to connect to internet i get an error message saying "the page connot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost. Check the connection and try again later." does anyone kno how to solve this problem??

You got me confused, the internet doesn't work at all or it is just your youtube player that doesnt work? Are u able to go to internet explorer and open any pages?

internet explorer doesn't work at all. right now i dont even care bout the youtube. i jus want the internet explorer to work

In case you internet does not work at all, First thing go to START > SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS > CONNECTIONS:

There you should have one or two connections, I dont know how the flash person created the connections but look for the connection that has written in blue underneath it's name the following:

Add a new modem connection
Add a new VPN server connection
Edit my proxy server
Manage Existing Connections << CLICK IN THIS TAB ON YOUR PHONE

Then Click Edit...


First Page will show your Connection Name and Cellular Line as yor modem, Click NEXT
Number to dial should be #777
NEXT
Username is your 10 digit phone number @mymetropcs.com
Password is : metropcs

HIT FINISH

now at the bottom click on Proxy Settings

you should have all thbe boxes checked and the proxy server as wap.metropcs.net

Click ADVANCED

all the protocols ( HTTP, WAP, SECURE WAP AND SOCKS ) shouls show wap.metropcs.net:3128 ( the port is 3128 )

Hit OK at top of the page 2 times, you are back on the main connections page, now at the bottom you have two options, Tasks and Advanced.

Go to ADVANCED

Click SELECT NETWORKS

you should have your metro Connection ( whatever the name is ) at the first Box.

Click ok and try. If doesnt work, soft reset. If it doesnt work still, Let us know. We will try other things. Good luck

lol, I am glad with worked! No genius... i just went thru this problem many times and people here helped me too, the thing is that not too many people have metropcs and we have to help each other.

hey!
im having a similar problem and follow the directions here but dont seem to be getting anywhere. i followed all directions but wasnt sure what u meant by "your metro Connection (whatever the name is)." The only options i have in netwrok management is "My ISP" and "My Work Network." i know that i am close to figuring this thing out. i got the 1X to show up at the top of the screen but i get getting an "error 37."

go to my work network, atleast thts where mine was. and go to edit and change the configs.

Please Help!!!!
I have entered the settings to get my internet but sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesnt. It keeps saying my username and password is incorrect. So I have to go and change it all the time. I have the password set as metropcs but when I go in to check it its changed to something else. I dont know if its looking at something else and over riding the metro pcs.

Also, I've been trying to get mms working but it's not working either. I dont know if I deleted and added keys wrong in the registry.
