internet sharing on Telus P4000

Has anyone managed to make internet sharing work on the p4000?

I see registry hacks to get the sprint version working, any progress on the P4000 in this area?

As much as these phones appear to be alike, there are enough differences that there almost needs to be a topic for this phone.

Thanks for all the help so far, this forum has been awesome.

What do you mean by internet sharing? do you mean tethering or do you mean using wifi?

tethering with out being charged extra data. in other words, you are sharing the internet connecton on your phone with your laptop, as opposed to using the phone as a modem, where they charge you for a data connection.

Re: internet sharing on Telus P4000

Well I'be been tethering for months with my P4000 on a laptop running vista and I'm not being charged and extra penny then my contract says. I'm paying 30$/month for unlimited data connection and it doesn't matter if I'm using the phone directly or as a modem the data is still going in and out from the phone so no difference for telus, whatever you do you just need a good data plan.
