Does anyone know how to start the Google Maps with the "Use GPS" option checked/turned on.

Write a mortscript, probably easiest thing to do.

hes talking about the option in google maps. normally you have to open google maps and go into the menu and tell it to start tracking off the gps. it has nothing to do with the gps switcher. you'd either have to write a script for it or tell google to build the option in to turn it on automatically

I was thinking there may already be a command line option to do this. Something like googlemaps.exe /USEGPS for example.

ive been thinking the same. google maps doesnt not have a hardware key associated with Use GPS, only my location, but if it did i bet a mortscript wouldnt be too hard to slap together. ive been writing a lot lately, but ill see if there is a menu item select command.

Nick

I did not see any command for that last time I looked over the mortscript command list.

But then again back then I was not searching for it or a fix for this issue/request.

i didnt see one either. google might bind the use gps to a key in the next release.

Thanks Darkness231! Basically you are sending keys to open the menu and turn it on. That should work pretty good for now, I just want the 1 touch access while driving any way.

The script could of course be interrupted if you hit other buttons while its running ... ect.

It would be great if google incorporated a hot key for gps.. at least that would shorten the script. Better still would be a command line option or to just make the option stick after you shutdown and relaunch.

Either way, your work is good and I appreciate it. I clicked 'Thanks'.

Download and install mortscript. Run mortscript.exe (locaated in /program files/mortscript) to associate the .mscr
with Mortscirpt. Then just run a script buy tapping on it.
