Sprint Mogul Charging Issue
 

I've observed that the phone seems to stop charging when full (good thing -- continuing to charge a fully charged battery is bad), but it will continue to show a green LED power indicator and never charge again unless the charging cable is disconnected and reconnected (bad thing). This can be a real problem if you are trying to tether for extended periods of time.

when the light is green the battery should stay (mostly) topped off....

Mine doesn't stay mostly topped off. It charges up, gets full, and then starts discharging (rather rapidly because I'm tethering). I have seen other people on sprintmogul.net mention they've seen the same behavior. I was hoping there might be some setting I could use to prevent it from doing that and stay mostly topped off like you said.

I had the same problem when streaming music for about 4 hours. Even though it was plugged in, it was still discharging. Tier 2 support said that the output of the phone was greater than the input (power charger). I solved it by lower the brightness on my screen to the lowest level. Now the input of the charger is greater than the output (internet, phone, and windows media player).

Yeah, that's clearly not my problem. The phone charges until it becomes fully charged and then stops charging. If the USB was unable to supply enough power, it wouldn't become fully charged. Yanking the power cable and plugging it back in fixes the problem, but this is undesirable for obvious reasons.

I'm pretty sure I'm having the same problem...my phone was charging for 12 hours last night and when I woke up it was at like 95%. Same thing happened to me during the day, as well. It was at 100% at a point I noticed, but then it must have stopped. This is very weird and annoying.
