Best Radio For Alltel, using DCD Rom?
 

I am currently using 3.37.20 and dcd 3.2.2? i'm thinking of upgrading to DCD 3.2.6..just hate the fact of having to install everything back. So, should i keep the same radio or upgrade to the newest? Also, anybody else with alltel who has upgraded to 3.2.6, have u gotten pic messaging to work, cause i currently have it working on 3.2.2 and i really dont want to lose that function.

I haven't tried Pic Messaging but I brewed my own ROM and got MMS working from Kitchen. I am running 3.42.50 and you don't have to hard reset to flash it from the microSD card.

I don't know how to get MMS working but it has to do with the provXML files I'm sure. You may want to get them off of mettercomputer's ZIP.

yea i'm using arcsoft 3.0.26.12c and my picture messaging works great...don't have mms, when i added to the newest arcsoft software, it would show mms/sms in my messaging, but i couldn't recieveing anything. How is ur speed with the new radio?

radio doesnt make your phone faster, thats the rom. that arcsoft your using for what you refer to as pic messaging is mms. you can install that on 3.2.6 and it should work. thats what ive been doing on any rom i use and its always worked fine.

ive tried all the radios, and honestly not seen a big dif btwn any. right now im using the radio from the latest verizon titan rom. try it or 3.42.40, they should be good.

thanks...i will go ahead and try out DCDs new rom....i was thinking mms and picture messaging was different. I was thinking that mms would be animated smiles etc..but i guess aslong as i can send and recieve pictures i will be happy

running dcd 3.2.6 with 3.42.40, but prefered 3.42.50 seemed to pick up faster gps with fewer satellites, right i pick up like 7 when i use to pick up 4 dunno if it a good or bad

3.37.20 and dcd's 3.2.6 is exactly the combo I run and I can say the following (does include gps one settings tweak),
Long range on bluetooth headset
Very loud with audiopara tweak on bluetooth headset and car sync.
With google maps gps lock in under 10 seconds (11 satellites).
Astrolauncher and IGO 8 lock in under 30 seconds every time.
Wifi and wmwifirouter work spectacularl
Pic messaging works fine with arcsoft cab.

Here's the order in what you do.
Flash alltel stock rom with 3.37.20 radio.
Then flash 3.2.6
Imediately after customizations reboot install carrier cab.
Activate phone.
Install arcsoft and go from there.

3.42.50 FTW! You can do it without hard resetting via SD flash.

+1 I just flashed this radio a few days ago, before going to dcd 3.3.4. and it was great with 3.2.6
