Wi-Fi Network Adapter Selection

I keep on losing my connection to my home wi-fi router.

There is a plethora of adapters to selct from on my Alltel 6800:

NE2000- Compatible Ethernet Driver
AsyncMac Miniport
IEEEE 802.b/g Compatible Wi-Fi Adapter

and around 6 more.

My question is this: Which one should I use???

Re: Wi-Fi Network Adapter Selection

You dont have to specify any of them. Just turn on your WiFi and pick up your wireless hotspots/networks and enter your encryption key. If you wanted to specify a networked IP address for maybe a packet routing application or assign an IP in your router for data priority or maybe even because you limit the amount of IPs your router will assign, that is when you specify IPs/DNSs in the network adapters.

weedahoe,

Will do. Thanks for the reply.

Another thing I have noticed is that when I try and use my wi-fi connection on my 6800, that my laptop loses the connection. How do I avoid these conflicts?

Thanks.

What kind of network do you have? They should be able to both work just fine unless your wireless sucks that bad.
