What kind of features could it have, all that I really need from the flashlight is to turn it on with a button and turn it off with a button. Besides the timer feature i don't really see what else you would need.

It has a self timer to shut off....iit has a high beam setting....it also has a lock feature that can easily be mapped to any button....all settings are easily accessible from on screen when it is open.....and it has Morse code in case you are ever lost in the woods...lol.....to each is own though...IMHO though it is superior....

Sounds like a lot just to see to get my key in the lock. :)

Hey if that's all you are using it for then yes I guess so.....I on the other hand use it for Safari expeditions and my many quests through the Amazon...I lost all of my equipment on one adventure and the Morse code saved mine and my friends life......we were located within 15 minutes.......

How does the Morse code work, sounds pretty interesting, also does the high beam make it stronger than regular (or does it start out weaker, and then go to full power), also what exactly is the lock feature?

EDIT: Nevermind I downloaded it and found out for myself, although I still don't know what the lock function does, but the highbeam (which actually makes it stronger than normal, as when you take a picture it flashes really bright for a second) is great, and the morse code is pretty neat (you just type out text normally and click send, and it automatically makes morse code).

CTFU!! seriously??

yes, I really like nueLight.. you can just press and hold the VC button for a quick light, if you want it on without holding that button, simply let go and then press the "lock" button (whichever you assign in nuelight) and it will turn on for the set time..

flash light is VERY important app to have. key mapping and timer mode are good.
morse code....come on. i suppose 'strobing' might be good, you know for rave clubs.jk

i know when im lost i use my phone to call the park ranger, then i make beeping noises with my voice to send morse code. that way they can find me.

well, I have requested a camera app that can read morse code, but i'm sure we won't see that until ships start using it again... lol

but I have been to some disc golf night tournaments where all the baskets and participants are all decked out in glow lights.. had some fun with playing around with the morse code function.. btw, it takes forever to say just a few words..(this post would take like 20mins)

I've been using AEButton for a flashlight control for a year. Works great, but no timer. Might try that sometime. However, an LED doesn't drain the battery all that fast
