Soft key went out, need help!

I've been searching for awhile now and I can't find what I'm looking for. Recently my right soft key button has stopped working. I thought it was just a hardware issue but when I flip the qwerty out, it doesn't work either. It seems kind of odd that both went out. The backlight still lights up and it still has a click when i press it so it's not stuck. I thought I seen a hardware cab somewhere for a hardware button fix on flashed roms. I'm running NoChems 5060. I've read a lot a posts about hardware buttons but none really gave me an answer to my question. Thanks in advance.

search google for a program called "soft key customizer". i'll search aswell but we can cover more ground if we search together.
you may also want to check under start>settings>system> soft keys.

Just tried it and it doesn't work. Seems the phone ain't recognizing the button at all. maybe a hardware issue but like I said its kind of odd that both front and qwerty went out. Any other ideas? Thanks again.

It is a hardware issue....all that cab does is let you re-map the keys....it will not fix a bad button.....TEP claim time.....also you can try a hard reset...dont think it will do much but worth a shot....

Re: Soft key went out, need help!

Well I did a hard reset and it fixed the problem. Well one day into the fresh phone the softkey is not responding again. Could it be the ROM I'm running. The programs I have installed are:

HTC Home customizer
HTC performance
HTC Home
HTC Album
HTC diamond qwerty
LG today buttons plugin
pocketNES
random access
samsung omnia drivers
shubhasoft softreset
SRS WOWHD
Task manger 2.0
youtubeplay
pocketmax spacer
jebd 20080222 3.1
sktools
omega one calclite
skyfire beta browser
magmic guitar hero mobile
Rabbit wars (game)
rayman ultimate

Again I'm running NoChems 5060 radio 3.35. Would updating the ROM fix the problem or could it be one of the programs i have installed.
Thanks again.
