So... I busted my Mogul in half. need to delete data
 

Literally. Right in half. Keyboard and screen are now separate.

I was able to still plug the phone into my PC and rifle through to delete all pics, programs, etc.

HOWEVER, I can not figure out how to rid the phones HD of my contacts. I want to sell the phone for parts but I don't need some creep calling people. I know odds are slim they'd do that but its not a risk I want to take.

I have very little experience with Outlook. I was trying to copy my contacts to somewhere else on my puter so I could: 1. Delete them. 2. Sync the broken phone 3. Replace contacts.

Anybody wanna help me out.

why not just load the official ROM. loading a rom will wipe everything off

That's a good idea. I was thinking I'd have to hard reset, which i cant because the soft keys are detached. Good thinkin', BRUTHA! I'm retarded lol.

your phone is in half and you're worrying about people calling your numbers? honestly, wouldnt worry the slightest bit :mrgreen:

on a side note, you can also delete the connection in activesync (file>delete mobile device) and i believe that wipes it of all personal data loaded from activesync.

No that just deletes the device on the PC side, it does nothing with the data on the ppc. I agree with the flash of another ROM to delete everything. If you could do the hard reset that would save a lot of work. Can you just press the spots on the board where the soft keys were with the tip of an ink pin or something?

the keyboard has teh same soft keys for the hard reset, iirc.
