clicking up selects item

Hi,

I have a problem with my PPC6800. When I am in the start menu or Explorer, whenever i push up on the direction pad, it seems to be selecting the highlighted item instead of moving up to the next item. Has anyone had this issue before? Did my up button get remapped somehow?

probably worn out more than it would be re mapped, try hitting the very edge of the direction and see of it still does it, also look at how down left and right respond very closely.
