registry editor

i've looked around high and low and haven't been able to find anything too clear cut. i'm looking for a registry editor that will work to do edits like people talk about for changing values or adding lines or dwords. i have sktools installed especially for the freeRAM part, but i can't ever seem to make the registry editor work to change anything. can someone either help me understand how to make changes through the registry search or suggest a program that can make those changes? Thanks.

Re: registry editor

dotFred's task manager has a registry editor that pretty easy to use. Runs on the device.

Get it here.

There are a few other ones including Mobile Registry Editor. This one runs on the pc and connects to the phone via active sync.

Re: registry editor

I had one (pre update) that would keep track of the edits you made, allowing for a simple "undo" option if an edit didn't work as planned. I'll see if I can find it to post or link.

Perhaps someone remembers this one?

Re: registry editor

What you can do is export the settings that work and save them on your storage card titled Reg Edit. Anytime you cook a new ROM just go to that folder and double click the reg file and it will automatically change the settings for you.

I know this is an old form, but my phone was having problems, and I had to do a hard reset and I lost my reg editor. This is by far the best one that I have found. I just spent 2 hours searching the web all over for it! Thanks.
