As someone in that convoluted post tried to point out...why would you want to go back to an older OS? And what's so technologically better about Windows 95/98/XP that would make you want to replace WM 6.1 with 10+ year old OS software? I don't see the benefits other than saying..."Look what I have on my PDA".

BTW this would NOT be a good idea to do to a Titan or any other PDA phone for that matter if you plan on actually using it for calls, the internet, text messaging, etc...

I couldn't agree more.

It would be pretty cool

But I agree, it wouldn't be very practical at all. I loved XP (yes, past tense), I run it on three of my five rigs, but it just isn't proper for a phone, just like when you see someone with racing seats, hood scoop and a **** exhaust on a Dodge Neon.

Is this a skin or the real os? I would love to run XP on my PPC. If this is a striiped down version, It will be awesome. A lot of compatibility issues will be solved. Flash, resolutions, java, stuffs like that. Imagine watching youtube and any other streaming videos on ur device. It's basically a laptop on the palm of ur hands. It's an all in one UMPC with GPS. Windows mobile will never match a PC OS. Even win 98.

Added: Only win 95 runs properly. No surprise on that. Win95 can run on PSP which have 333mhz cpu 32mb memory and 4mb ram. win98 and XP is said to be very very slow. No doubt about that. I think xp requires minimum of 256mb of ram if I'm not mistaken. But at the end of the thread, Somebody copied the xp especifically designed foe eee pc. He will update later. I doubt if he can make it work properly. I think the diamond/touch pro will be the best for this project. Diamond in particular coz it has a built in storage.

I once had windows 95 installed and booting from a 4 GB Keychain drive. It doesn't take much.

I also agree. but would still like to see it work. similar to the totally useless android thing going on right about now.

everything is boring with the phones at this time till the new ones come out. useless projects (or maybe not. no telling what it could lead to) like these are the only fun things to kill boredom. unless you're a noob.
