Path to dialer application

Sorry for the vague title. I didn't know how else to word it.

Once in awhile I'll get a notification saying my memory is low and I need to close something to free some up. On the list there is usually a few apps labled as just "Phone". I'm guessing this is the dialer program and I just didn't close them properly by hitting the X. When this happens I don't think I've ever been able to close anything, the phone is just locked up and I have to soft reset.

So... I'm trying to write my first mortscript bound to the end button to kill the phone application. I just don't know the name or path of the file. Can anyone point me to the location? Or a more simple fix to this annoying problem.

Re: Path to dialer application

what list? the settings\system\memory\running programs ?

if you have the htc task manager you can change it so that tapping x closes the app.

also, if you do have htc task manager, tap and hold the x for 3 seconds and it closes. rather than minimizing. that is default.

phone application is located here: my device\windows\cprog.exe

lastly, the htc task manager is great because it can close all running programs or one at a time. get it you will not regret it.

Re: Path to dialer application

It mostly happens when I run Opera 9. I can't remember the exact words. Something like, System memory is critically low. A list of running programs pops up with a close button. I've seen anywhere from 2 to 5 programs just labeled as "phone" so I'm getting it just isn't closing.

Thanks for the path information. Now to see if I can map a mortscript to the end key to kill it. In hindsight, it might just be easier to make the end key to close the active program.
