mogul wont let me beam
 

i'm having problem beaming files to others? the bluetooth work fine but when i go to send a file, it says failed...any suggestions?

i'm sure somebody's gonna say to search.. but i'm gonna hold out for a link.. i don't know what everybody else on here does all day, but that's about how long it takes to find one answer... i work all day, and right now, i'm on 10 hours mandatory OT every week.. does this site have an index or something? also, i bought a pair of motorola headphones, but they don't work like a hands free should.. maybe all that will change once i get my adapter.. i only want to use it for music.. but i'll be damned if i ask for help.. although some people on here really do help..

I noticed that today too when I flashed my ROM before I was using the 5060 where it worked fine and any ROM after that does not work so I went back to 5060.

yes, this is rom dependent. it works perfect for me on 5069k, pre7, pre8

Are you trying to beam to another WM phone? There is an option you need to have enabled on the receiving phone in order to accept incoming file transfers (IR or BT). Make sure the "Receive all incoming beams" box is checked in Beam settings.

the other phone i was trying to beam was to another mogul and a tilt....on the tilt it let me beam one file but not the other...and yes the receive all incoming beams box was checked///

Sometimes in the new Roms you're allowed to received but not to send.

Windows Mobile requires that you activate IR beams before you can receive Bluetooth Beams. Its stupid, but its true.

Settings>Connections>Beam>Check 'Receive all Incoming Beams'
