Moto HT820 as USB headset?
I just bought a pair of HT820s for my Titan and so far I'm pretty happy with them. I think they will get good use with my phone, but I'll stick with my Sennheisers for my notebook.
Anyway, my question: Is it possible to use the mini USB port to connect the headset to a PC and use it as a headphone/mic combo? I plugged them in and they started charging (expected) but then it looks like windows found some drivers. Checked the sound panel and nothing new there. So is it possible to use these like a headset with some sort of hacked drivers? I know you can't use them via bluetooth while they are charging, so a USB connection might just be out of the question. Maybe the guys at XDA would know something? I googled around a bit, but couldn't find much/anything on it. Thanks! |

Just use the 2.5 mm plug that it has on one of the ear pieces. It should have come with a 2.5 - 3.5mm cable as well.
Actually, i'm not too sure if that connector contains mic access as well. You could always open them up and change the wiring so it does ;) |
Re: Moto HT820 as USB headset?
Yeah that's the main reason I was wondering if it was possible. It's just the headphones, not the mic that gets plugged in.
Plus the added bonus of being able to charge and use them at the same time would be nice. |
