Run two instances of the same program at the same time?

Is it possible to Run two instances of the same program at the same time? I have a program I would like to do this with. Does anyone know if it is possible?

I understand I may need to do some registry changes to make it work.

What do you think?

verry possible, depending on the program. some programs it's as easy as copying the .exe to a different name, while with others, it gets alot more difficult. What program are you trying to do this with?

Depends on what it is, like dan says. Like applauncher for the cube...

There are a few i'd love doing this with. OliveTree Bible is the main one. There are times I don't want to split the screen to have two bible versions open, but would rather have the application open in two instances.

I happen to have that on my device and here's what I did.

1. Copied the exe to the storage card.
2. renamed it to biblereader_ce30_arm2.exe
3. Moved it back.

And it works lovely. I use quickmenu and it even showed up in the open app list as "Webster Gen1:1" and "Webster 1:28". So it even keeps track of the verses for ya. Good idea. Just use total commander to make a link for the new exe.

rstoyguy,
That's fantastic. Thanks for working it out. :-)
Now, I wonder if Skyfire can do the same thing?

PIE? LOL

They're such memory hogs, maybe not!
