Calling Mac (apple) Pro's: Help! (PAM- Bluetooth)
So I'm a new convert to the mac world and I'm cutting my teeth on a powerbook G4. I'm running Lepord and can successfully sync my Titan to Ical and Addressbook through the USB with syncmate. My questions are as follows:
1. Is there a way to use my 6800 as a modem for my powerbook and have it count toward my anytime data minutes? (I think I've heard they will sometimes charge you extra) Step by step instructions and neccessary downloads would be very helpful. 2. If so, does it need to be usb or can you do it through a bluetooth connection? 3. As I've mentioned I can get my 6800 to sync through syncmate with a usb, can this be done through bluetooth? I want to get rid of my USB cable if possible. I've played with the bluetooth connections and can get them to pair (with lock codes and all) but then it won't maintian a connection. Thanks so very much! |

Bluetooth usually works better with using your Mogul as a modem. You should be fine using the included internet sharing application, but just make sure you set Network Connection to Sprint PCS rather than phone as modem. As far as your other questions, I sync my contacts through dashwire (cloud-like service), and my iCal through missing sync but I've only had success using the USB cable.

Excellent, thanks. I'll give this a try. If I set Sprint PCS then I won't get any extra charges?
