Need Advice Regarding Application/Software Install
 

Hello Fellow PPC Users,

I am new to the PPC game and have a couple of questions:

I just bought myself a Mogul (PPC 6800 -- WM6). I would like to install

1. "touchFlo" and wanted to know if touchFlo was the latest application of its kind. by that I mean that I have seen a lot of variations that do the same thing. If its not, what is the latest app that does what touchFlo does. (EDIT: If I remember correctly, touchFlo dates back to sometime in June of 2007?? This is the reason why I asked for something latest)
2. The newest ROM (v3.56)

Also, I was wondering which route should I take in order to ensure that I don't screw anything up... should I install touchFlo/(or a similar app) BEFORE upgrading to the newest "official" ROM or AFTER the upgrade?

first flash what ever rom your going to upgrade to then install all your apps and as for touchflo use the search on top

When you install a new rom it wipes your phone clean of all data/apps that was on it prior to the flash. So, since TouchFlo will not be on the phone after a flash of a new rom, flash the rom first.

There are a lot of TouchFlo style apps out there. TouchFlo is good. So is PointUI. I have attached both for you to play with.

thanks for the input! I know there are lots of choices out there as far as touchFlo kinda apps go.... and LOTS of versions as well... I know this because I searched and found a lot of posts with files attached and didn't know which to pick (especially since I am new to PPC realm). This is the reason why I asked which was the latest.

I am going to give the attached verison of TouchFlo (& PointUI) a shot.

Also, is there a GOOD ROM out there that includes touchFlo AND works well with Sprint carrier? because I tried DCD's ROM and all was well and jolly until I tried Provisioning it.... (I did install the Sprint's CAB file) Furthermore, it was missing TeleNav (Navigation) AND SprintTV...
