Green Send Button Not Working
 

The green send button stopped working on my Titan sometime either on Friday or Saturday. I flashed no2chem's 5067 about 3-4 weeks ago, with no problems since then. I originally thought that it may have been something that I installed that screwed up the button mappings, so I installed AEBPlus and tried setting it up to open the app "makevoicecall.exe" on a short push of the button, which did not fix it.

The one thing that I noticed is that when my Titan backlight dims (30 seconds) and before S2U2 kicks in, the green send button does not re-enable the backlight, whereas all of the other buttons (soft and hard) do. Should I be taking it is for a replacement or is it something else? Is it worth doing a hard reset and trying it again or is this possibly a known issue?

Normally I would just go and swap it out for a new one, but I am running a custom rom and that means I have to reflash to a stock rom before I go. Kinda sucks...

try reflashinig i had a friend with the sane problem reflash abd you should be good to go

I know, I was thinking about it, but I just got everything up and running the way I like it. Oh well.. a quick manual backup with spb Backup 2.0 and I'll be up and running 20 minutes after the hard reset ;)

maybe less the backup programs work great i just hope u dont backup and restore the problem

That sounds like a hardware issue. Even if it was a device or driver conflict or something, it would light the backlight on a keypress. My entire front face started working on my old Titan because the voice command button got crushed in and was perpetually being pressed, so it wouldn't allow me to use any of the other buttons.

Well I tried it with and without restoring via spb Backup and still no go. I also, for kicks, tried a totally different rom and still the same. Damn button is broken for sure...

Happened to me too. Thought the same thing (that it was custom rom related) Nope. I reflashed to stock and no dice. Took it into a Sprint store and a had a refrub replacement in 30 mins.

For what it's worth, my first (of two) mogul's send key died a few weeks into my ownership. A few other buttons followed suite, it may just be a hardware failure unfortunately. I was still able to use the send key if I bit into it, tho :( Shoddy manufacturing? Or maybe I just got a lemon?
