Cant send email from alltel 6800 HTC
 

I just bought this stupid phone and will not send emails. I can get them all day long. I have had the store work on it, tech support, and I have contacted my email people. everything is correct. Tech support will no longer help me they keep saying it's your email people but I know the my server info is correct because before I have a Treo and my email worked perfect. I wish I had never gotten this phone I just can nhot stand it! Please help my business depends on it.:protest:

I have to put the outgoing mail server for my gmail account. In the setup I put
outgoing server: smtp.sprintpcs.com
username: myname08
password: pw_provided by sprint.

Depends on you account, you might need Alltel's outgoing mail server info...

Your best bet is to probably use alltel's outgoing mail server, but if your mail worked on your treo using your email account's mail server info, that will probably work (assuming they do authentication?). Make sure you have the box checked to authenticate smtp, also I have noticed that if I enter the email account information incorrectly the first time that it will not work until I completely remove the account and add it again, so you might want to try that....

Are you using your company's exchange email server, a pop mail server, an imap server, gmail, hotmail, yahoo? We can't help you if we don't know more about your problem.
