Replaced broken lcd screen with a new one and now theres no display on the lcd screen

My mogul has never been flashed, the rom is the original sprint rom. I rechecked all the cable connections 3x. I put back in the old broken lcd screen and it does the same thing as the new lcd screen. My phone responds to touches of the screen (led lights get brigther), but gives no picture. Windows will also reconize it when plugged up through usb.

Do i have to take out the tiny internal bios battery for it to recognize the new lcd screen hardware? Or do i have to flash the rom?

Been searching the forum for a few hours now with no luck, please help =)

i dont have a difinitive answer to your problem, but if your old lcd was not cracked or smashed and you replaced it because there was no picture..then it sounds more like a hardware problem to me. again if your old screen just stopped displaying, then it maybe the device's video output is giving you the problem

I would tend to think the same way. Has your phone gotten wet? Alot of times corosion will cause the monitor to display a blank white screen or the screen will not come on at all. You could try to hard reset the phone and see if that fixes the issue. But from my everyday experience at work fixing these phones, I would bet that it has gotten wet in some way.

It could be failure of a video driver. Have you done a Hard Rest?
