Import Cody SMS Into WM 6.1 SMS

Is there a way to do this at all? Like moving the Cody folders to the same locations at WM 6.1 folders?

I used pim backup when i flashed to 6.1 restored text,call logs, contacts and everything else without error and/or hiccups. Of course youd need a pim backup of that info to begin with. Good luck

From what I know, Cody threaded SMS is a different format than the threaded SMS on WM6.1 and cannot be converted. Are you sure you didn't have WM6.1 threaded already on your older rom. Maybe you were using the leaked 3.49ROM prior?

I was running the 3.35 rom, and believe me i was also very surprised. I didnt think it work but figured id give it a shot... and it did, i dont know how though it shouldnt.

It shouldn't work. I always PIM Backup everything before a hard reset, and did a restore afterwards of course to restore contacts, but texts did not return after 6.1 was installed.

Cody's SMS doesn't really save its texts to the phone's PIM. Instead, it saves it to a palmv001 file in the WIndows folder. PPCPimbackup doesn't back this file up.

Maybe mine was a fluke accident, I wish i could prove to you it worked because i know its very unbelievables. Does the default programs sms' restore to the threaded 6.1. I recall whenever i downloaded an app with notification counters it always said i had alot unread, it said i did anyway, i really didnt.
So maybe the default app still recieved my sms' and thats what actually restored. I really dont know but sorry it did not work for you, maybe im lucky, i better cherish it, that doesent happen to me to often.
