ihave it in my ppc 6800 .it works belive me .
all those programs works fine .the first one antivirus .second live tv free for trial .thir, thermometer ireally dont have idea how it work but it work lol .
ialso found this .http://www.z2software.com/.which allwed you to control your pc from your ppc .
last iwill post it on next page .Description
CABviaActiveSync is a utility which turns any installation of a CAB file much quicker.
It appears as a new entry in the context menu of your desktop explorer.
When you click this option, CABviaActiveSync executes several tasks:
It copies the CAB file to your ActiveSync directory.
It begins the install launching CEAPPMGR.EXE.
It could not be easier to use, and thanks to this utility,
I got rid of copying CABs to Pocket PC, clicking in the file explorer,
copying the CAB file to a secure place if I need reinstalling, etc.
Even if it's not that difficult, it's a waste of time

Let me ask y'all something...why would you need a anti-virus on you ppc? There have only been 2 viruses detected for ppc's. And one was made just to prove it could be done.

@hibby50....what virus do you have and how did you get it?

late,
Coz

Re: Air_Scanner_Antivirus_for_PPC

The PPC has really taken off lately, so have applications. I forsee an explosion of little virii popping up here and there very soon. Probably starting out where someone has hooked into an executable inside a .cab, and doing fun stuff, or erasing your memory card, and even worst doing it's thing at random so it won't be noticed at instalation!.

True you can restore a backup, but the cab you installed yesterday, installed a virus. The virus was triggered to run at a random 15+ hours from install. It first corrupted your storage card so you can't restore on the spot. And if you miss that phone call from "Chow Ling" in ten minutes to purchase millions of dollars of merchandise....You might as well have called him "Stinky fish face" cause your boss will curse you while he is firing you, you wife will ask you how you missed that $10,000 commission check because you didn't have a virus scanner....I've got plenty of speed and memory, I'm thinking about buying airscanner.

Coming soon to a PPC near you! (Just my thoughts....)

Yes the file could be a virus or the song itself could have a some data attached that is malicious code or even better it could be t-locked into an mp3 like they do with photo's and such. If you use filesharing you pretty much are pulling you pant down and bending over just waitin for someone to take a plunge.

Re: Air_Scanner_Antivirus_for_PPC

Well, although I understand the reasoning of an antivirus application on my phone, I just can't see myself giving up precious RAM to run it when I would just hard reset my phone if I got a virus.

I would probably wait for a more ram/processing friendly phone before I invested in antivirus software, it just isn't that much of a threat atm.

Re: Air_Scanner_Antivirus_for_PPC

I must agree with rstoyguy, I was thinking about this a while ago. Really, every day people are switching over to PPC's. And now the low-life virus programmers that have nothing better to do between plates of cookies made by their mothers while sitting in their parent's basements are going to start writing extremely malicious code for phones. We have absolutely NO defense. Luckily, I already run BitDefender mobile on my phone, and I've been looking into Airscanner to compare...

Well, has anyone tried the thermometer? I highly doubt it works, but you know, there ARE IR thermometers!
