Help! - Live not synching my hotmail
 

For the past 5-6 days, Windows Live stopped working with my hotmail account. When i try to synch it manually by hitting the send/receive option, i get an error message saying the server is not responding. or sometimes it just stays in "synchronizing folder list" and does not finish.

anyone else experience this?

i've been having this same problem, did a lot of searching, couldn't find anything specific. finally, i just logged on to hotmail from my computer and cleaned out as much unneeded email as i could, and that seemed to fix the problem.
I also set up some more folders and moved stuff i wanted to keep out of my inbox. I heard one person say you want to keep your inbox lean.

i tried deleting a whole bunch of emails, but it still didn't work.

I logged out of live and logged back in and now it works.

guys check out "seven" . they have a beta out now which syncs hotmail,gmail, yahoo by push using one service. works great!

you can sync all 3 at same time as well instead of using exchange and live and yahoo go.

I find it interesting that several people have been experiencing this issue around the same time. There is another thread on this in the General section.

What i find odd, is that i have never had a problem with window live on my titan...ever. It has been solid and working as it should. Until, of course, 4 days ago. I had not been installing/uninstalling anything or rearranging anything. It litterally just stopped syncing with no apparent cause.

I have tried all the suggestions in both threads as well as the suggestions in the links provided in the threads. Nothing has worked. Still not syncing. It is very irritating.

Has anyone heard of alternative fixes? In one post it looks like microsoft was currently working to resolve this known issue, but had not resolved it yet.

any insight is, greatly, appreciated!

sorry would but cant at work and cpu wont allow me to access that site but if you google "seven email" you should be set.

Mogul is not in the list of supported phones for it.
Also, not sure if you need to pay to use this service?

dammit it stopped working again.
logging in and out of live doesn't help either now.
I'm starting to think it is a server problem with microsoft.

yeah, i am wondering that too. It is definately a fluke thing.

I tried seven and it just wasn't for me. I don't care for the today plugin. I always liked the live plugin. It has always worked great, since i purchased the mogul, until now.I have the sprint "everything plan" so it isn't like it expired or anything.

The fact that i made no changes to the software or hardware makes me wonder if it is, actually, a server problem.

Hope it gets worked out soon. I didn't realize how handy it was until it was taken away from me! waaaa.
