Problem with internet sharing on WM 6.1
 

So I am trying to use internet sharing on wm 6.1, and it just isnt working.

When I load it now, it just says PC connection now, and doesnt say Network connection anymore to choose Sprint PCS or Phone As Modem.

When i hit connect it says data call failure, with error code of 67. then goes to say the remote party has ended the connection.

I have installed the cab which is supposed to make it work, but doesnt work. I have also tried to load a website first then hit connect but I am still getting the error.

i tried it also... i used vetvito black pill rom... for some reason, my computer will recognize the connection... and it says i have a stable connection... but wen i try to go somewhere on the internet, it says that i'm dont have a connection...

i'm using the wifi router...

If you know how to registry hack, change this registry setting by deleting this file extension and it will work.

HKLM\Comm\InternetSharing
Delete this string: Extension - isext.dll

Thanks man.... just wondering, do we have to worry about sprint charges... Im on sero w/ unlmt data...

im on sero also. being as thats an unlimited data plan you dont have to worry about any other sprint charge.

THE REGISTRY HACK WORKED FINE... NOW I CAN USE MY PHONE TO GO ON MYSPACE WHILE I'M AT WORK... THE BLOCKED ALL THE IP'S THROUGHT OUR PIX :headbang:

You need to have a registry editor program. If you have a registry editor then go to those extensions and just delete that file in the last folder

ARE YOU GUYS USIN THE WINDOWS WIFI ROUTER... OR JUS CONNECTED THE PHONE TO THE COMPUTER THRU A USB AND USING ACTIV SYNC...

because i'm on a shared plan and on this phone, i have the 30 dollar unlimited text and internet plan... i know they said that internet sharing costs... but does this override that?

jus tried it thru windows wifi router... AND IT WORKED! I BEEN HAVIN PROBLEMS EVER SINCE I UPDATED WIT THE WIFI ROUTER...
