Annoying Text Messaging Issue

When text messages are sent to a phone, the phone replies to the network saying "I got it." Perhaps that reply isn't getting through or isn't recognized by the Verizon Network, so it is resending you SMS messages until it gets a reply from the phone. Networks are very fickle about that kind of thing. Remeber, its machines doing this stuff, not people.
