Re: Is there anyway to separate the native threaded sms app and email?
I just made a .lnk file pointing to command='-service "EMAIL"'
and it still just opens the last used messaging device. :( |

So it would look like Code:
\windows\tmail.exe -service "Gmail"http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...creen001-4.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...creen002-1.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...creen003-2.jpg |
Re: Is there anyway to separate the native threaded sms app and email?
Thanks for taking the time!
I would press the 'thanks' button but i'm mobile (no button present). I'll rep you once I get home. I hope this works! This is the only thing holding me to Cody's threaded. |
Re: Is there anyway to separate the native threaded sms app and email?
Can I do this via word mobile or would it have to be notepad from my pc? I'm not home right now.
I've tried renaming a doc to .lnk but it doesn't change the suffix. |

You would need a text editor, like a notepad program, word mobile will not work. I use frNotepad its a great little notepad app. Just go to Open and select all files and find the shortcut and edit it.
or Resco file explorer is a great application. Just go the the shortcut and click on properties to edit the target. |
Re: Is there anyway to separate the native threaded sms app and email?
IT WORKED!!!
THANKS GUYS!!! No more cody's threaded sms! |
Re: *SOLVED* Is there anyway to separate the native threaded sms app and email?
This helps a bit. I too miss a few things from CodyPPC's threaded text.
I worked around the button to sms issue by just not having it go to the account select. However, its real annoying that when incoming text arrive I can no longer just click "Dismiss" with a quick thumb swipe of the right soft-key. I have to select Menu from the right soft key then Dismiss from the sub-menu. I wish there was a way to get it to just have two options: reply & dismiss (like with Cody's). These are really the only two things you do with a new text. This seems like a counter intuitive design choice by MS. Now, I have to click menu then carefully select "Dismiss" from the small context menu that pops up. btw, why is this cab for "hotmail" users only? |
Re: *SOLVED* Is there anyway to separate the native threaded sms app and email?
There is a script in the cab that tells it which account to open by name. ie cox, comcast, hotmail, yahoo etc.
I wrote it to go to hotmail since that was what I used. You can write the line to point to whichever server you have on your phone. I think I used wince cab manager. |
