Yeah, if they will give you a third headset then try that. It can't be anything with your Titan since the headset behaves the same on other phones you've tried.

When i turn the noise assasination on mine sounds staticy and quiet for about 3 or 4 sec while it adjusts for the surrounding noise....but then its loud and very clear.

I can't believe I'm having these problems after reading great reviews. This would be the 3rd one. I already have a bad taste in my mouth. I'll give it one more try. I hope the 3rd one works out.

I still only have a Jawbone 1, but my friend who has the Jawbone 2 hasn't had any complaints...

Re: Jawbone 2 Issue

I had some problems with being heard until I remembered to turn AGC off on the MIC. Other than that I have to make sure that the PPC6800's volume is at max before I try to use voice command or I can't hear the prompts. I sometimes get static if the volume on the jawbone is too high and I turn the phone all the way up as well. Perhaps it is overdriving the speaker.

One last thing to remember is that the new noise reduction is much more agressive. You really have to play with the fit to make sure the sensor is firmly resting on your jaw.

Hope this helps.

I find the noise assasin does not have any effect on incoming audio. I've paired it with many phones here at work and the same distorted sound comes out. Sounds like a blown speaker. What a coincidence, Plantronics will be here on Monday with their products. The 3rd replacement should be here tomorrow. We'll see. 3 X and you're out!

Re: Jawbone 2 Issue

Okay after reading all the raving reviews on the new version, i went out to the local att store and purchased one. well here is my story.

sound quality is very tinny and crackly. reset and re-paired it like 4 times doing all the steps on jawbones website. finally called jawbone this morning and first rep i spoke with ran me threw all the steps once again and then finally suggested that since i just purchase this unit that i should return it and get a new replacement. at lunch i went in and did just that.

got back to my desk and charged it and then paired after deleting my old pair. same issues with audio on my end. i then started thinking that its the mogul so i paired it with my computer and tested it with skype but same issues. i have now also tried it with a samsung m300 and also with a LG rumor with same out come.

in total, i have called jawbone 3 times today trying not to give up on hope of this "amazing" bluetooth unit but at the end of my 3 time the service rep said that the tinny sound is normal. i let him know that i have a jabra bt3030 and also a plantronics 655 and they don't have issues with sound on my end. he explained that coming from those i will notice the jawbone will sound tinny because the other units have more of a bass to their audio and the jawbone doesn't so what i'm hearing is quite normal according to this guy.

so in the end i'm not packing the unit back up and returning it for a refund and pretty disappointed.
