Bluetooth Issue
Hello, I used to have a 6700 with WM5 then upgraded to WM6, both versions were able to pair with my pioneer stereo 9800 BT, but, with my new 6800 the phone recognize the stereo, but when you get to set the password, it show an error message about problem with the connection or with the password.
I'v read in some other thread about changing the bluetooth ID number, but with no luck so far. Any ideas? Irving |
Re: Bluetooth Issue
Im not sure about the pioneer, but with the motorola S9, I just used the password 0000 (four zero's) which is usually the default password on most bluetooth devices. But I'm not sure if thats what your referring to. Is it when you start pairing or you already paired it with the phone and its asking for another password, which doesnt make sense to me since it should only ask for a password only once? Please clarify on what steps you took to pair your device.

Re: Bluetooth Issue
The Pioneer has 0000 as default.
The 6800 recognize it, I select the Pioneer BT, hit next, then it ask me for the password which is "0000", hit next again, and finally got the error message saying "There is an error with the connection or with the password". This is really weird, I think that it has to be some restriction within the software, I'm using a spanish version of WM6. SO CE 5.2.1238 (Compilation 17745.0.2.3) Thank you |
Re: Bluetooth Issue
Hey xpolarx,
Did you try all the basics, like stopping/restarting bluetooth within comm manager, or soft resetting your phone? Have you tried another bluetooth headset? Im sure you have, but I had to ask! LATE, TWIN |
Re: Bluetooth Issue
Yeah, I did all the basics, at the time I don't have any other headset, but the phone can actually pair with my pc and with my old ppc 6700. I'm going to try to use a shorter device name for my ppc 6800, maybe it has something to do with the lengh of it.
