Yesterday for the first time I used the wireless modem and it worked flawlessly. The setup was easy and went well. I was up and running in a couple minutes. I was able to use it for a couple hours with no problem on my WinXP laptop. Today I've tried using it numerous times and I always get the error code 680 "no dial tone". I have double checked everything, tried connecting as the instructions directed and other methods and I've had no luck at all. I even re-read the entire thread TaylnOne has on it with no dice. Any help guys? TIA!

what I usually do is: open internet sharing, then click connect first before hock it to the laptop.
when I do the opposite, I mean connected to the PC then try to get the internet to be shared, it won't work.
so try that, hope it will help.

i had that problem..i had to call sprint an the rested it for me no more problems since...

I'm trying to use ICS to connect, and that's still not working for me. Uhmmmm, it's still giving me an "error code 680 no dial tone" message. Grrrrrr, I don't know what to do......=/

do you use it as a modem? if yes, you should have the phone as a modem plan, if you do not have this plan, and let me say you do not need it, make sure that you are using the internet sharing and the internet should be through the SprintPCS and the connection is through the USB.

I am not using the phone as modem feature. I am using internet sharing (ICS) and wireless modem alternately and they are not working.
