News Feed on Today Screen

So I used Pocket Express for the last few weeks and just took it off the other day. The problem is that its too feature rich and used a lot of ram to run. The highest frequency for updating is also 4 hours, which wasn't often enough, at least for me.

So I'm still looking fo something to put a news feed on the today screen.

i might be wrong, but i'm pretty sure pocket express is a pay feature that you get free from sprint for a limited time when you start using it. i think it's 9.99 per month?

thanks everyone for reminding me of this! I also have been waiting to even set up rss feeds because of these issues.. email & sms work just fine, and what's the point of a "news" app on the today screen if you can't get important updates in a timely fashion.
has anyone found a good one yet? if not maybe something could be (or is already) done with mortscript.

also pocket express / handmark site do not load.. not sure if it's site maint. or just went away. (OnDemand)

Try Egress, not free but has a good today screen plug in.

I stopped using it because I found it used way too many resources (4+ mb's of ram) just to display a news feed.
