one of the slides had a line at the bottom that said upgrade to gps and revA for the 6800 slated for may 2008. despite the fact that may has come and gone, who knows? maybe theres an upgrade in the works.

Yep I know something:

IT"S LATE! AGAIN!!!! It's never coming, flashing is working out fine, but gosh a good Vzw update would be very nice. Also Sprints is supposed to be today / tomorrow so maybe with theirs it will come.

I called a friend at VZW and the word according to him is the end of June or beginning of July for the 6800 upgrade. We shall see...I take any dates with a grain of salt.

It's now September 1st, and still nothing about the upgrade for the xv6800. Typical Verizon.

so it took me about five minutes to find this "xv6800 mr1 upgrade". i tried to download it from my device its sixty megs it didnt work ( i dont own a pc) there was no docmentation surrounding this upgrade. does anyone know what is included or even when this came out?

It is a 6.1 update, but it DOES NOT enable the GPS for anything but VZ Navigator which it a total rip-off...............
