Active sync randomly starts on the HTC 6800
 

How do i stop Active Sync from randomly starting on the 6800 handset? It seems to be draining my battery down...

I have this same issue as well. constantly having to end task for active sync. Is there a way to stop it from starting by a setting or reg tweak or any other way?

Turn off Time Synchronization with the network in Start-Settings-Personal-Phone-Services. I think that's what's causing Activesync to run.

well heres what i did. use WinZip on your PPC, and open the exe. in the upper right, select notifications in the drop down box. scroll towards the bottom and youll see a few .exe's all named repllog.exe. scroll to the right and look for the argument that says AppRunAfterTimeChange. disable that repllog, and now ActiveSync will not run on reset or time change.
