I would definitely say that you are the victim of fraud, I had another instance like this before where someone (with access to the account and from another state) changes the address and then calls assurion to process an insurance claim in your name. If you don't return the phone you get a $200 fee each time. This is a very easy fix, it will however take time. Instead of following these steps:

Consider this:
Step 1

Step 2
'Fraud department please'

Step 3
Be polite, courteous, and chill out. I know that this is a pain and you didn't cause it, but neither did Sprint. If you came in to a store screaming like you were in your post neither I nor anyone in my store would be likely to help you. You won't get far with fraud or anyone else with that tone, so settle down and try to work with people. You will get farther with honey than with vinegar. I personally don't know why or how retentions is going to help you, they may still give you something for free because of your inconvenience but it wasn't their fault so they shouldn't be responsible. Dealing with fraud should take about a week or so and once their investigation is done the entire matter will be cleared up and it should be done, but definitely settle down, no one will work with you like that.

P.S. Eliminate all the profanity misspellings in your post. It's against the rules and offensive and not everyone on the boards is an adult, and some of those who are still don't want to hear it.

Lol....Did you drop out of high school....sorry your having problems but it really isn't sprints fault. I've been a victim of identity fraud as well and the first thing you'll find is it takes time and effort to get what you've lost back from these companies...just keep at it and it might help to calm down and work your way up the ladder until you find someone who can help you.

Not to sound like a jerk, but if I cannot read what someone post because of the slang and misspelling I just pass it over, I can read some slang but after a while it get old.

The point is to have them flag the credit tracking accounts (experion, transunion, equifax) at minimum so that additional identification is required for all transactions until you remove the fraud warning from your account files. Trust me, you don't want someone opening fraudulent lines of credit in your name with mailing addresses you've never heard of. You won't even know it until collection agencies come after twelve months later.

Waiting until something else odd shows up is an invitation to financial disaster. Check out www.fightidentitytheft.com for more information.

I know a guy in Michigan that has a hook up with sprint phones....

JUST KIDDING!!!!:drunken:

Hey this sucks but I hear this happening more and more... I am a credit card dept manager for a major bank...

The poor Sprint reps werent at fault... and TRUST me... just becasue a customer demands, screams and threatens the personel; isnt going to get you any further... next time be calm about it and understanding that is not the fault of the guy who picked your call...

my 2 cents...

identity theft is rough. and had it happened on at&t or verizon, i still doubt your experience would be a walk in the park. Sprint didn't do it, the thief did. Be mad at the right person.

if your boss fires you..don't find reasons to cuss your wife out. she didn't fire you, he did.

That's kind of odd. The other day I had a voicemail from a sprint store, in Dearborn, telling me my phone was ready to be picked up. I just disregarded it. I wonder if something is going on with that store?

I have to toss my agreement in there. If you wait until something else odd shows up, they may clear out your bank accounts, have credit cards, merchandise. Anything else anyone can do with your identity. In todays automated world, with your information they could even go as far as haveing your pay deposited to a new account.

Its way too dangerous to wait. Check into that company where the guys advertises his social on TV and dares people to steal his identity. They put fraud alerts on your credit reports

I kindly suggest that you contact all 3 credit reporting companies, credit card companies, etc and put fraud flags on your accounts as a protective measure as a start.
You also should also consider closing all checking accounts and starting new ones since they probably have your checking account information as well.

Sorry, but welcome to hell.

All 3 except TransUnion...they got busted recently for selling people's private information which they have been doing for over 8 years >.>

There is always an option of ordering a new sprint service then cancel it in 30 days while..
