Sprint PCS Tethering

Alright, so I tether my internet from my unlimited data SERO plan. I use Internet Sharing, and so far it was working fine, until recently. Anything that is remotely internet-related on my computer would stop responding until I disconnect from the Sprint PCS tethering would my applications on my computer start to respond like normal. What's going on?

Re: Sprint PCS Tethering

Sprint ROCKS!!!! I have 4 numbers under my acct and I was able to upgrade one number from SERO $30 500 mins to SERO $49.99 1250 mins without extending the service agreement. It took 30 mins to get it done but the CSR is great. I waited on the phone and asked nicely and I even offered to do a customer survey for his excellent service, too bad I didn't get selected for the survey.

My brother use that particular number that I upgraded. He's been going over his mins for the pass 4 months and he ends up paying $160 to $200 a month for using 1000 and over mins. Atleast now he doesnt have to pay that much and have 1250 mins available for him.

Less stress for me :)

I'm using PDAnet right now, and so far I have used about 1.22GB of Sprint's EV-DO, and it's going strong! Now, about the purchase price... It's a bit hefty, don't you think?

You could try USB Modem (not the MS Mobile version) which can be found here: http://www.mobile-stream.com/usbmodem_wm.html . I havent tried it myself, however a buddy of mine uses for linux connectivity.

Yo why is tethering always lags? average of every 15mins. i don't use any software just straight usb connecting to sprintpcs. Any fix for this issue?

Re: Sprint PCS Tethering

Never lags for me, and I've stayed tethering for hours. We kinda took this thread off topic. I have no answer for your original question. Seem like its happened to me before but it hasn't happened again

Re: Sprint PCS Tethering

I don't notice any lags either, probably a soft reset might help?

I think im having the same problem you are. I can teather using some reg edits and using the internet sharing app include in the new stock rom. it work for about a minute then all internet activity stops and I can't right click the lan connection to see the status but as soon as I hit disconnect the computer starts responding again

They say USBModem, but i could never get it morking on my BlackBook. If you have found something else or got USBModem working please let me know. I hate being stuck at around 1200 because Bluetooth cant handle the 2000+ i can get with REV A.
