Slide2Play Problem
 

I'm having some problems with s2p, It keeps on freezing up (especially when I try to do coverflow), and then closing. Am I just doing something wrong? or is this happening to other people. Sometimes it works fine, and i can do coverflow, open an album and change songs, but then sometimes, it will just freeze when i try to open a song. Other times i will just be sliding through the flow (either with a song playing or not) and it will hit an album and freeze, and it is not always the same album. Is there a way to fix this, or am i just running out of free ram or something? I have tried soft resetting and having more free RAM, but nothing seems to be working. Only programs I have open are ifonz and s2p.

BTW: I am using s2p v 0.40

Anyone have some idea on how to fix this please? i have no clue as to what is causing it, as it seems somewhat random, sometimes it works, and other times it freezes. It is probably a RAM problem, but even after a soft reset, with only s2p running, it would freeze.

hmm weird, never happened to me, which version do you have?? i got the latest version v.40 and never had a problen, maybe its a bug from the preveous versions

Yea i am running v.40 as well, it is my first time installing s2p, im going to try reinstalling it to see if it helps.

I am having another problem, and I think they are related, my programs keep closing when another one opens (i can't have more than 1 program running in my memory at a time, but it doesn't seem to apply to background programs like s2u2 or SPB Mobile shell), and I think that this thing that is causing all my programs to close, is closing s2p because of its RAM usage, but I have no clue what it is, and it has just started happening. Any ideas?

are you using a task manager so you can verify that they are actually closing and not just hiding?

what ROM are you using?

I am using the built in HTC x-button task manager, on the official sprint (3.35 i believe, its the newest official, not 6.1) ROM. I have checked and they are closing, as they don't show up in any running applications list. At first i though it was oxios, but i uninstalled it, and it still happens.

S2p is doing the exact same thing to me. I am using OMJ's 6.1 Rom(v2.) Sometimes it works fine, but if you scroll around too much or change to landscape it usually locks up and closes? I have the latest 4.0 s2p and it's the only one I have ever installed. Maybe a new version will work better with the new ROM's?

i am having the same problem i am running a cooked 3.02 rom on my vogue and s2p is cooked in the rom. i have plenty of availabel space on my phone it just sometimes freezes in coverflow. i am also running .40

Its really strange, sometimes it will also just freeze when switching songs, I hope AC comes out with a fix in his next version.

I downloaded version .38 and it is working well. Has not locked up yet! Try it out. Search for the file on yahoo.

So you were running version .40 and it would lock up, but when you downgraded to .38 it is working fine so far? If so ill go download it.

Yes. I tried .40 and .39. Both lock up. Version .38 has been working so far with no lockups!

ok, I have been havin a different problem with S2P 4.0 with no cooked rom... every so often, it shuts my speaker off and I have to reset it. Anyone having THIS prob? I tried reinstalling it a couple times and it works fine sometimes, but every so often I am listening to my song and it goes "...I am freeeee as a bir..." and then the speaker shuts off. anyone???
