How to Get Embedded Flash to Work
I have recently seen a lot of posts complaining about embedded flash not working, so I decided to make this thread on how to get it to work.
First Id like to say that embedded flash will work, but will not work well, embedded video sites such as youtube will work, but the frame rates will be pretty bad. To get embedded flash to work, you will need to re-flash your device with a self-cooked rom, if you are not familiar with the procedures, then please visit http://www.ppckitchen.org/ and download your devices kitchen, then look up guide here at ppcgeeks. When you are cooking your rom, you must have adobe flash lite, adobe flash player, and flash video bundle (optional but recommended) selected. Once you have flashed your device, embedded flash should be working, go to a website to try it out. Enjoy! Warning- If you are using opera mobile 9.5, flash videos will not play for some reason, opera mobile 8.65 and most other browsers will work. |
Re: How to Get Embedded Flash to Work
i really wish flash worked better with IE.
just a side not, you can download flashlite off of adobe.com webpage if you forgot it in the kitchen. adobe owns macromedia now. flash lite can be handy because after it is installed you can run .swf files made in flash (i think) 6 and earlier (maybe its 7). kinda fun to goto a webpage that has flash games and download the .swf file to your phone. you can play the games witht the touchscreen or buttons. sorry i know this isnt 'embedded in a webrowser' flash info. |
Re: How to Get Embedded Flash to Work
can someone explain why this will only work with kitchen-cooked roms? is there no custom rom love in general? either way thanks for the write up, i hadnt hear of this capability before
