Actually, it is new. Google has been experiencing QA issues with their latest v2.0.1.x bug-fix releases. The most recent version was v2.0.1.28, which still was buggy on quite a few CDMA devices (v2.0.1.27 wouldn't even install on the Mogul!) They downgraded to v2.0.1.18 until the bugs could be worked out, which I hope v2.0.1.31 will successfully address.

--> Google Maps Developer statement <--

Bottom line? Cut the OP some slack. This is good info.

I noticed this too. The whole program seems snappier.

On a side note, I sure hope Google decides to get with the program in the next version, though -- Live Search already has nifty turn-by-turn directions and voice recognition... Yeesh, Google... :disgust:

I like Live Search over Google, it is very easy to use and the voice recognition is very cool.
