Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
Has anybody tried pairing a Motorola HS850 BT earpiece with PPC6800? I've tried doing it but the phone does not even pick up the BT earpiece while trying to search for devices. BTW, I'm using the latest Sprint release ROM.

I assume you are putting the 850 in discoverable mode, first... |

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I can't wait till the S9HD'S are out. I have asked several times at a few of the stores here in Portland Oregon and no one knows when they will be out. I have read in the 2nd quarter of 08 but...

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I think so...I hold the talk button for about 3 secs. while the mic boom is closed & the blue light will stay lit for a few secs & I try to search for BT devices from the PPC6800 & ...... comes back with nothing.

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
i just got a motorola ht820, and man do I LOVE THESE. they are super sweet. stereo headset with built in mic.... f'king wonderful. cool thing is, is that it works PERFECT with the mogul...like all the controls on the headset. it plays music, and when someone calls it stops and lets you pick up, and when you hangup it resumes.

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
i second this question, would love to hear some good reccomendations.
pros/cons of something like the earbud ones, or the cusiony ones. to the person who said they loved the ht820's ive heard they can be uncomfortable. what do you think? thanks |
Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
another vote for the s9's...
|
Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I have both the S9 and the ht820..... switch between them both depend on what I'm doing... No problems with either and after you wear the ht820's a couple times, they feel fine.... controls on the s9 also took a couple wears to get used to the small buttons....
no major complaints from people I've talked to using them, they cay converations are acceptable.... Just wish the ht820 did not stick out like Princess Leah's hair.... |

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
Check out the BT8010
http://www.amazon.com/Jabra-BT8010-S.../dp/B000QY9JRK They are great for calls, streaming music via A2DP and have a second ear piece for stereo music. Plus it seems like the price when down- I paid almost $100 for mine last year and still works well. |
Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
hmm, T820, or S9?
looks like a tough choice. pros/cons? anyone have any insight to this decision. the T820 just look so big. how do these handle running, both in terms of staying on the head and in the ears, and reaction to sweat. thanks |
Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I had a very bad experience with the s9's. I have not used many different types of bt headphones, s9's were my first, but let me tell you about my experience. S9's did "work" flawlessly when I was indoors, I was actually quite happy with them. Once I stepped outside all this changed. Music skipped way too much to be considered good for listening, and voice calls would break up often and eventually drop. Needless to say, I ended up returning them at the end of the month and promised myself I would not waste my time with motorola products again (Its not the first motorola product that let me down). S9's are great if you are indoors, once you step outside they become quite a nightmare for me.
Do any of the other S9 users on this site experience this? |
Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
where did you buy them that you could return within 30 days? im having trouble finding them or any bluetooth headphones at one of the usual vendors that have 30 day return policies.
thanks |

Anyone have any experience with Southwing SA505 Headphones? Price wise they make more sense imo.http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gifhttp://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gif

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I have not had issues with ussing the S9's outdoors, or ever had them start chunking out while listning to music.
|
Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
It was either the bt's or maybe it could even be my device? Ive not used any others since then, perhaps there is something more to it. Also, keep in mind this was way back then when the mogul was using a mediocre radio, maybe the performance is better now.

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
so my old headset (some iclip style hong kong knock off) finally bit the dust and I am now wanting to replace it. I am looking at either the Moto S9 or the plantronics 855 and I have a couple of specific questions for anyone that has used these.
I am left handed so the option on the 855 to swap the controller side the the left is appealing, however does it swap the left and right channels to match? or are you listening to music "backwards" On the same token where are the controls on the S9 located? I was told that in phone call mode that it only uses the left side is that still true? thanks Chuque |

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I have a PPC6800/ Mogul that I purchased when it first came out..I have been through quite a few Bluetooth Headsets and though the S9 can play music thru them..I dont want to wear anything like that while I'm at work..( I need to look like I'm on a phone call ).. Does anyone know if there is an update or somethin that will let me use my existing Bluetooth to send my mussic thru..I'm wondering about this only because I have a friend who has a Nokia and it lets them listen to thier music..and they only have a single bluetooth..Not like the S9..where its Headphone style..I'd appreciate it if I can recieve a solution to my dilema..In dire need of this

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
i currently use the S9 and love the results. question: whats the difference between S9 and S9HD? :headbang:

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I have had the Jabra BT620s for over a year and they are great. Worked great w/ my PPC6700 and now my Mogul. All controls work properly sound is pretty good and havnt had a problem with them but just wanted something smaller. So for my b-day i bought myself the Jabra BT8010 with the little OLED display on the outside! The best part is it plays stereo music in one ear if im too lazy to carry the second piece. I love them but im having random problems with them and if they are paired for too long they start sounding scratchy intermittently. hmmmm oh well, still a pretty awesome bluetooth with great battery life, my new 8gig san disk micro sd, and my mogul make a pretty good treo. LOL

anyone have any of the Sony Ericcson bluetooth headphones where the unit hangs like a necklace?

Re: Mogul 6800 and Bluetooth Headphones
I have the RK9 and a set of Insignia's, the RK9's wound up with my sister, I didnt like them. I like the Insignia's they go over the ear not in them. the sound quality is good and the range is better, both in sound and distance from the phone. Not to mention half the price. The controls are real easy to get to as well. They got them at Best Buy for $60.
