Mogul won't answer...
My Mogul will not let me answer my phone calls. I get to tthe phone in plenty of time and hit answer but it just silences the ringer and doesn't do anything. only 1 out of 10 calls actually answers. any ideas?

Re: Mogul won't answer...
did you do the epst trick to aquire the call faster? when i did this and set it to 0, i had this happen to me. set it to 1 instead of 0 or 2. my phone aquires the call MUCH faster, and actually allows me to pick up the call.

Re: Mogul won't answer...
huh Im gonna have to research that epst trick.
The same thing happens to me. Also happened on my 6700 too. Phone rings and then as soon as I hit talk or the slide to answer on s2u2 it cancels the call and says I have a missed call. Happens to me like 3-4 times a day. Rather annoying. |

Re: Mogul won't answer...
reeg420,
try disabling slide to answer. used to have problems with that. as for dwizzy's reply, make sure you do NOT have a version of advanced config higher than 1.0 installed on your device. i read that people had problems similar to this with it higher than 1.0. |

Re: Mogul won't answer...
Yesterday I called Verizon and asked them to increase the number of rings before a call goes to voice mail. I now have it set at 7 instead of 4 rings.
You might try the same... |
Re: Mogul won't answer...
Have GPSToday or nueMins installed? As soon as your phone goes to it's today screen, they grab the data connection to try and update. It dosen't release fast enough for you to answer your call... I still have them installed, but disabled auto-update on GPSToday, and took nueMins off my today screen. Problem solved.

Re: Mogul won't answer...
I have Advanced Config 2.02.1 and I've had no problems at all. Can someone explain to me what problems ver. 1+ would present? Thanks!

Re: Mogul won't answer...
think you should see a tech support

Re: Mogul won't answer...
Thanks for all the replies. I would also like to know where to find the epst/modem settings. I have Advanced Config tool v 2.02.0.2.0 installed. do I have to hard reset or just uninstall it and install the older version?

Re: Mogul won't answer...
Ok I actually did a few searches and found out how to change the epst on my own. I have not tried it yet seeing as I am in school but I set the cycle to 0 so it should be ok. But I still would like to know about the Advanced Config problem... what exactly is it? Thanks in advance.
sorry to double pot just thought I would update |
Re: Mogul won't answer...
Anyone found a fix that NEVER had:
Advance config of any kind Slide2Answer enabled GPSToday NueMins and changed the settings in EPST? This is really annoying. |

I've noticed this on an off, but now all the time for me (5067 kitchen, 3.35 radio, s2u2, texting) did not install schnapps 8). also when i try to change settings in s2u2, it completely wacks out and won't lock, ect.. reboot. it is between a 3-5 second delay, so i've learned that i've got time to finish what i'm doing between answering the call and talking. weird. also the slide2answer screen doesn't come up when this is going to happen, it is the call swap screen as if I was on another call. I just checked, my epst is set to 0, so I will try 1 and report back. yea, now it makes sense, if your like me and could care less what data activity is going on, a slot cycle of 0 would immediatly hand control over to the phone app before letting go of the data connection... millisecons is all IRQ's need... (i'm not sure if ppc still use irq's, but same concept.) |
Re: Mogul won't answer...
experiencing the same problem here...changed the slot cycle to =1 but still no help constantly push the talk but but no response...any other ideas besides advance config?
|
Re: Mogul won't answer...
i changed all of my 5 mail accounts to manual and all calls answered with the first press. this still blows though, because i want my email to check automatically. i would rather have it stop whatever it was doing datawise when a call came in and still get my email regularly and not have to call 4 out of 5 people back.

Re: Mogul won't answer...
I tried everything suggested and nothing worked. Here’s what worked for me:
I disabled MS Voice Command (Start => Settings => uncheck “enabled”) I’m at 100% when I also use the left softkey to answer the phone instead of the talk button. I’m using No2Chem 5067 rom. |
Re: Mogul won't answer...
I am using No2Chem 5067, have slot cycle @ 1, advanced config 2.02.1.0.0 and have this problem.
It will eventually answer but silences the phone after I initiate the answer. Then after 1-4 seconds (sometimes more) the phone call is answered - and I can tell because the phone app is displayed. Do I really have to rebuild a rom to fix this problem? Copy |

Re: Mogul won't answer...
I had the same problem. I know this thread is old, but it helped me. My Activesync was scheduled to check way too often. Scheduling it back freed up the data connection like others have mentioned. Thanks!

Re: Mogul won't answer...
Same issue on my mogul...
I do have S2u2 installed, no Adv config... So what was the fix? I tried ESPT but couldn't find cycle index... how do I get there? I notice though, that it does it less when I uninstall S2U2, then reinstall it fresh.... Update: nevermind- i found a link to show how to find the modem settings http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...r-pattern.html |
