Streaming Radio

So I would really like to keep track of the Penguins quest to take hold of the Stanley Cup this year but sometimes I work during game night which really annoys me cause i can't watch the damn game. I can turn on the radio at work but am not always able to be near it to listen to the entire game. I tried to listen via one of the streaming ESPN channels but no such luck.. I think it said you had to have the most recent version of windows media player so idk.

I was just wondering if there are any alternatives to streaming media at all or if anyone has tried to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
-Kevin

Try "The core pocket media player" I'll look for a link.
I listen to Grateful dead Radio witch is streaming and a few other streaming channels.

Hey thanks guys I'll check them out in a bit

And come on really whats wrong with the Pen's?

I am a pittsburgh fan till the end (except baseball.. never really was a fan). They are a young and slowly getting more experienced each season. Give them time...

Re: Streaming Radio

Anyway to listen to baseball games? the local stations remove the game from their streams (as per mlb licenscing agreements) and gameday audio doesnt work on winmo pdas

Re: Streaming Radio

I use the SELECTRADIO software as I have an XM account, and I like that it can handle many (not all) web station streams.

But I will try the other stations link aggregator tools as mentioned above.

There is a POCKET SCROBBLER tool for LAST.FM playing of streaming content. Which seems to work well in the beta testing.

Re: Streaming Radio

I just noticed that mlb "team alerts" has video highlights and it says it's supported on the mogul! we'll see?
it's $3.99 a month, plus standard messaging fees, but that's still cheeper than an xm subscription..
kinda my only option as I"m in my team's black out area (4 hrs away) and in a state without a baseball team grrrrr.. oh well DTV DVR works too, thanks fsn/comcast

Re: Streaming Radio

I'm with KT on Select Radio it gives you access to thousands of streaming radio stations and content providers world wide, ESPN Radio included. In addition to satellite radio (if you already have an account) Select Radio allows you to subscribe to podcast, shoutcast, and MP3tunes Music Locker player which gives you mobile access to your home MP3 library over your mobile internet connection. It's pretty sweet... everything you'd ever want in internet radio in a single application.

You can also try www.orb.com as a way to listen to radio stations.
